WE MUST BE DAFT!
FOLLOWING THE FORTUNES OF DUNDEE FC

It was (and still is!) Dundee's unpredictability that sets the theme for this compelling and often humorous book.

Peter Caproni (ex-professional footballer and ex-Dundee, Stirling Albion and Aberdeen Sports & Fitness Therapist) has followed the 'Dee since he was a little boy, and consequently has experienced incredible highs and almighty lows.

It was Peter's Dad, Tommy, with whom he travelled to the games, who often said when leaving the stadium after a disappointing result, "We must be daft!" in reference to them continuing to show up to games hopeful - only to leave disheartened.

This book is a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Peter grippingly relays games from the 1950's to the 70's, from Dundee being beaten by the unlikeliest of teams to them being crownd champions and taking on the cream of Europe; encapsulating an era when legends such as Alan Gilzean, Alan Cousin, Gordon Wallace and Jocky Scott outclassed their opposition.

He also touches on his own football career, expressing his disappointment at narrowly missing out on becoming a Dundee player himself.

Ultimately, this book conveys what it is to be a dedicated follower of the Dark Blues and captures the magic of the Dundee that was. So, no matter what age you are, or even what team you support, it is sure to be an entertaining read!
